I love The Bowery Hotel because it’s real and effortless.
After years of stagnating, a recent refit has turned The Bowery into one of Manhattan’s coolest boutique hotels with its moodily lit corridors, wood-panelled Art Deco lobby bar and wine bottles swinging from beamed ceilings. The Italian restaurant, Gemma, is highly recommended, too. Try the branzino al forno with roasted Mediterranean sea bass on cedar with sautéed green beans.
I like The Bowery Hotel when we play in New York. Stylistically it understands (my ideals of) New York perfectly. Alluring, moody and pulsing with energy.
