Villa La Coste is a great new hideaway in Provence designed by Andre Fu – it’s simple and yet chic with great food. It’s set in the vineyards of Château La Coste with a huge spider sculpture by Louise Bourgeois. A perfect weekender.
The Irish property magnate Mr Paddy McKillen has created a simply stupendous residence in the heart of Provence – there’s a biodynamic vineyard, a cafe, an outdoor sculpture park with some amazing pieces of modern art, and this, a collection of minimalist rooms that blend effortlessly into the sunbaked local countryside. As well as the tree-lined shared swimming pool many of the suites have their own slate plunge pool, and the spa and restaurant are sublime.
