It’s been open since 1946, a fantastic old English spot. It’s famous for English breakfast but I like the desserts too... the bread and butter pudding with custard is my favourite.
It’s a greasy spoon on the border of Westminster and Pimlico, but it doesn’t live up to that label: you’ll find the cutlery comes clean and not a sausage comes dripping in fat. You’ll also find a champion English breakfast, which has been served with a proper cup of builder’s since it opened in 1946 – at an absolute steal. It’s also a popular filming location: look out for its formica tables and gingham curtains in Layer Cake and Brighton Rock.
