For more than 40 years, Duryea’s was the epitome of the beachfront lobster shack – simple, family-owned, paper plates, BYOB. When the Duryea family sold it in 2014, many fans feared the worst, but happily it’s business as usual. Yes, it may be a bit smarter inside now, with real crockery and a few more sophisticated menu items, but what remains is the fresh fish market, the incredible sunset views over the ocean, the sense of continuation and history, and, of course, the peerless lobster rolls.
