As the Italian brand launches on MR PORTER, we present our preferito picks.

If ever there was a moment to announce the launch of Versace on MR PORTER, now would be it. The brand’s maximalist approach to design and penchant for baroque-inspired patterns and prints seems to slot rather nicely into the current conversation in men’s fashion, at a time when the loud, the bold, and the downright ridiculous is currently very much in favour. So, as we are sure you have already guessed – we are pleased to say that, from today, you can shop the finest edit of clothes from the inimitable Italian label at your favourite men’s style site.

You can take a look at the entire collection here. But we thought we would pick out four of our favourite items, below, in case you need a little hand-holding. Then again, with Versace, you can’t really be hesitant. Best to dive in head first. Just look at the logo-embroidered checked wool sweater, for example. That head, for the uninitiated, is the head of Medusa – chosen by Mr Gianni Versace as the brand’s logo. Or try the T-shirt – which is similarly very typical of the Italian brand (mixing leopard spots, baroque borders and curtain drapes? No problem!). Alternatively, you could approach your relationship with Versace in a tentative fashion, and go for the blue sweater – which is slightly more understated (despite being emblazoned with the brand’s name, of course). Or, if you have a body like Mr Cristiano Ronaldo (and the confidence to match) – the swim briefs should be just the thing for your next holiday.
