As we launch the third collection of our exclusive own label, Mr P., we’re in buoyant mood. Not just because, six months down the line, we’re enjoying the pleasant response to our efforts, but because this particular drop of product is inspired by the noble pursuit of messing about in boats or, to be more specific, the nautical style of men such as Mr Jacques Cousteau and President John F Kennedy. So, buoyant. Get it?
Sophistry aside, our all-aboard mood board has translated into an eminently spring-appropriate, 34-piece collection that encompasses relaxed sportswear, warm-weather tailoring, lightweight knitwear and, for the first time, shorts. We’d like to draw your attention to the seersucker blazer, which, thanks to its slightly wrinkled texture, will keep you simultaneously cool and smart, and a new worker jacket in terracotta, which has been garment dyed for a supremely vivid effect. Buttonless knit piqué polos are the perfect throw-on for a casual weekend ensemble, while shirting continues to explore the camp-collar shape with a series of exclusively developed print fabrics. Needless to say, this has all been designed to fit in with your landlubber gear, in particular the collection of seasonless staples that are available all year round from Mr P.
