They offer a tasting menu of 16 courses which is out of this world – if you want to eat some of the best food in San Francisco then this is the place. A magnificent example of individuality on a plate.
Three Michelin stars have been bestowed on chef Mr Corey Lee’s esteemed SoMa restaurant, which picks delicately from national cuisines all across Asia to create something truly memorable. The space is a haven of serenity and calm, an appropriately Zen backdrop for the always startling food. The tasting menu might include a take on “thousand-year-old” preserved egg, or fish tartare with shiso and trout roe, or sesame tofu with onion flower. The faux shark-fin soup, made with gelatinous broth, is a must-order.
