Dubai-born creative Mr Khalid Alshafar followed his passion for design after a seven-year career in marketing and communications. Following his studies at Central Saint Martins in London, where he specialised in furniture and object design, and at the Centre for Fine Woodworking in Nelson, New Zealand, Alshafar founded his own studio In Dubai, where he crafts unique coffee tables, writing desks, dining chairs, lamps and other interior design artefacts. Among his notable collaborators are the Campana Brothers and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
