Pauly Saal

Restaurant, Berlin

Pauly Saal - Men's Style Council Place

In the heart of Mitte, among the galleries of Augustrasse, is this Michelin-starred restaurant set spectacularly in the former gymnasium of a Bauhaus-era Jewish girls’ school. Head chef Mr Arne Anker draws on his north German heritage to create simple-sounding dishes that arrive as complex yet balanced visual masterpieces. “Chokeberry, wheatgrass, vanilla, lime” runs a typical description – and doesn’t give much away – but order with confidence knowing that everything is a seasonal and expertly considered treat.

We’re quite partial to the "salmon, cauliflower, onion, yarrow” dish.
