IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN has a storied history producing watches for the British military - the 'Big Pilot's Spitfire' references rugged styles from the mid-century. Offsetting the army-green colour scheme, it's crafted from a bronze alloy that develops a characterful patina with age and is approximately 50% hardier than standard kinds. The dial is easily legible with luminescent Arabic numerals, large-scaled in balance with the watch's proportions.
