There may be some diners that could vie for the title of “Australia’s best restaurant”, but you’d be hard pressed to find somewhere to eat with a better view. It’s right on Sydney harbour, with the bridge on one side and the Opera House on the other. Food is reliably memorable, as it has been for years – ingredients are coaxed into unusual textures and shapes while retaining their essence. Desserts are especially showstopping – the “white coral” from the 10-course tasting menu, with coconut, feijoa and white chocolate, is a work of art.
