Try the pirzola, börek and kűnefe.
Is there a street cuisine that’s yet to be elevated to new levels of sophistication? The mangal and mezze at Baker Street’s elegant Turkish eatery is certainly up there. Perfectly cooked lamb-shoulder kofte, coal-roasted baba ganoush and uykuluk (sweetbreads) are served to diners in a cavernous space decked out with white-brick walls, black-ink prints and terrazzo flooring. For dessert – and fun – try the Love Galata cocktail, which blends burnt yoghurt, cold-brew coffee, raki and cardamon.
