Cartier's timepiece was originally created for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont at the turn of the 20th century - the explorer was in need of something to prevent looking down at his pocket watch during flights. This iteration has a grey dial and a layered 18-karat gold and stainless steel case that highlights the recognisable square shape and screw details. The blue cabochon at the crown is another longstanding brand signature.
